In celebration of the Lunar New Year: Year of the Snake several games have released in game modes and content. The designs created this year are super cool and you need to check them out. Below are a few games that feature content for the Lunar New Year.
Marvel Rivals
Marvel Rivals features a few different ways to celebrate. There is currently a game mode similar to Rocket League called “Clash of the Dancing Lions”. All players have access to this game mode as well as the ability to complete certain achievements specific to the game mode. In addition to this there are a few skins available to buy in the store featuring themes of the Lunar New Year.
Valorant
On Riot Game’s website they outline “Over in Alpha Earth, the team is celebrating the holiday with a Year of the Snake event pass and a scaly serpentine skinline called Helix”. The event pass is unlocked through XP and features a gun buddy, spray, and two player cards. Featured above are the newest skins. Riot Games including League of Legend, Wild Rift, and Teamfight Tactics all have skins or celebratory events for the Lunar New Year. Rust
There are several new items in the Limited Edition section of the store in Rust. Above I have featured two garage doors which I think are so sick. Both glow in the dark and feature different designs to portray the year of the snake. Other items in the store include a wall divider, spear, head gear, and more.
Pokémon GO
Pokémon GO’s celebration runs from Wednesday, January 29, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. The Event Bonuses during this time include an increased chance of getting Lucky Pokémon in trades and increase chance to become Lucky friends. Trainers will also receive a bonus daily Field Research task each day they log in that awards PokéCoins. To check out a full list of features head over to their website here.
