From a casual player to content creator to an aspiring esports professional it is so important to have a consistent and polished digital presence. For those who play casually, it can be fun to personalize your digital footprint to express your personality. For content creators and streamers alike it is important to develop your brand to grow your audience. For aspiring and current esports professionals there are some must have pieces of information that you want to be easily accessible so that people can contact you.
This blog series was made to give casual gamers, content creators, and esports professionals the tools you need to create a personal brand with a lasting impact. Every week I will be posting in depth tutorials about different platforms and marketing tactics to make you stand out.
My favorite thing to do online is to customize my socials and gaming profiles so I’ll be sharing in depth tips over the next few weeks for several different platforms that you can fuss with to make them your own. Lets dive into it more below:

Why Digital Identity Matters
- For Casual Gamers
- Finding like-minded friends and communities
- Expressing your personality
- Personalizing your games
Customization has always been the highlight of my gaming experience. Whether its creating and personalizing my character, selecting my player cards/banners/tags, or designing my socials to show how I’m feeling, there is so much joy in finding combinations that feel just right; that feel just like me.
- For Content Creators
- Building recognizable brand
- Attracting and retaining audience
- Professional opportunities
Creating a recognizable brand is the most important thing to develop as a content creator. You want your audience to see your socials, profiles, and more and know that it’s you! Creating a cohesive brand will allow your audience to understand your personality and preferences as well.
- For Competitive Players
- Professional presence
- Scouting opportunities
- Network building
Maybe social media isn’t really your thing… You just play games and you do a damn good job at that. But hear me out: No one will recognize your talent unless you put it out there. Your twitter and socials are essentially your resume and you want recruiters to be able to find the information they want and contact you easily. I’ll show you how in this series.
