What an exciting few weeks for Marvel Rivals esports. Several orgs have entered the scene including FlyQuest, Fnatic, 100T, and of course Sentinels! For those who have been following Sentinels signed the NTMR former roster and they have been so fun to watch. On this roster is SEN Aramori! She is an insanely talented Strategist player for Sentinels.
This week in her post match interview after a win she gave a very important message to girls:
“The biggest thing I want to say is make sure you comm and talk in ranked. It’s the most important thing you can do and if I didn’t comm and talk in ranked I wouldn’t be on this team. That’s how I ran into my teammates. I think it’s a skill every girl should practice.”
When I listened to this I thought wow… she is kinda right. For my entire experience playing ranked games I have definitely exercised caution when comming in ranked. I have had my fair share of bad experiences but also good.
What I loved about her message is that it empowers girls. It lets girls know that you are impacting the next generation of gamers. If you think about it, if everyone joined ranked and there were commonly girls comming and playing then it may not be received any differently than anyone else talking.
Ultimately I just loved that it is an action item we can all do to try and make it better. So get out there and comm and talk in ranked! Let me know how it goes 🙂
