Below is the final product of this weekend! I’m happy with how it came out. You might be thinking… Mia, your setup before looked fine. I’m glad that you might think that but in reality the cords behind the screen were absolutely out of control. Over time I got a camera, a charger for my phone, my nanoleaf lights and more. Alllllllll of the cords got to go somewhere and I kinda just shoved them wherever there was space. In addition to this my old monitor arms were too short so my second monitor had to be vertical otherwise it was behind my main one which was pretty annoying.

As a result of this I have simply dealt with ugly cords and cropped them out of my pictures. I know. I’m a fraud, or I WAS a fraud. Now I have the most beautiful organized cords and a setup I love even more. I took some pictures along the way to show you the process.
The Process

I ordered adjustable double monitor arms on Amazon this weekend that hold cords in their arms this weekend. My last monitor arms were black and this time I got white which matches a lot of other elements of my setup.
The instructions were pretty straight foreword. Attach the clamp to the stand and then fasten that to your desk. Screw in the clip to the back of your monitors. Add and screw in the monitor arms then attach the monitors. From there you can adjust the height and positioning of your monitors.
Once the monitors were up you can feed the cords through the arms creating a nice finished look. A clear space is a clear mind.
Before & After
Below is the before and after of my cord situation. The cords behind my monitors were… pretty unacceptable. I am proud of how everything came together but yeah it was quite a makeover.

For those considering reorganizing I hope this post gives you the push to make it your next weekend project. I cannot begin to express how much better my setup feels now. It’s somewhere I spend a ton of time between gaming, working, and school so for those who do the same invest in it and make it a really nice place to be!
Next on my list of setup upgrades is a new mousepad. I’ve had mine for way too long so check back for that post soon.
